I have two desktops both running win2k connected to the same router. Why
does one computer display certain website's favicon and the other doesn't?
Same website, router and OS. Also sometimes it will show the icon for a
couple of days then it goes back to a default IE icon? There seems to be no
rhyme or reason this happens.

Favicons are stored in Temporary Internet Files. When they expire out of
TIF or TIF is cleared they are gone.
Get FavOrg:

FavOrg - Restore and Save Favorite Icons (Line 108)

or get AM-Deadkink
