Hello there;
An acquaintance of mine, Henry Kliewer, has posed this question:
"For W98, should all .DLL files be located in theC:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
folder/directory?"

Can anyone out there provide some guidance?

Thanks,

Why not leave them as installed by Windows? Or as installed by applications
you install?

Applications that use the dll's find them by referring to the registry.
Software installation sets up the dll location in the registry during the
install.

If you are doing manual install then place the dll's in an appropriate
folder of your choosing and then use the Regsvr32.exe to manually register
the dll.
