Two of us have been sharing a computer for a couple of years. All her
files and folders have been stored under "Her Documents". All my files
and folders have been stored under "His Documents".
The shared computer is running with Win98 and IE6. It has a 3.5"
floppy, a Zip 100 drive and a CD read only drive.
She has acquired her own computer that is running WinXP and IE. The
new computer has a 3.5" floppy and and a CD RW drive.
We want to copy all Her Documents from the shared computer and load
them in the new computer. Using the hardware described above the only
way we can accomplish this is to use the floppies. I am afraid that
this may be a very labor intensive task nor do I know if we have
enough disks.
What suggestions does anyone have to accomplish this task? I have
heard about file transfer programs but do not know anything about
them. What other methods are there?
Thanks for any and all help.

(The following presumes XP doesn't do any "funny stuff" with a new drive,
and that you know how to safely work inside the boxes).

Take the hard drive out out yours, jumper it as "slave", plug it into hers
(assuming there's a spare position on the data cable), turn hers on (may
have to set the drive specs in the Bios), "drag" the entire folder from your drive
to hers, shut down, remove, re-jumper, reinstall, go have some ice cream.
